SEASONED GREETINGS FROM THE BOSS OF SAUCE
This is my little holiday wish for all you folks out in "E-ville"--
I hope happiness just starts to followin' you around.
Peace, brothers and sisters.

THE MOON HUT FAMILY RESTAURANT
"WHERE THE MOON PEOPLE DINE" 7802 Astronaut Blvd., Cape Canaveral, Fl 32920 (407-868-2638) Cape Canaveral has always been a spaced out place. I played in Brevard County in the 60s. Back when Indiatlantic was a dark corner harboring surfers and bikers from California (the best surf on the East Coast is in Brevard County). Back when Murf the Surf (world-famous diamond thief) would drop in at the Vanguard for the Sunday jam. We'd play an hour on/an hour off. I remember, we once did five gigs in three days ending up at the Vanguard. That hour on/hour off will kill ya'. I was underage, dodging the beverage agent. They said, "When the suits come in, you duck out the back". The Vanguard had a notorious poker game in the dressing room, where bandleaders would win back the earnings of their sidemen. That hour on/hour off will kill ya. Nowadays, as I float through Cape Canaveral at 3:30 in the morning, I think of the legendary Moon Hut. (These little stories always end up at the supper table, don't they?) It's hard to find a real supper at 3:30 in the morning, but you can at the Moon Hut. I love this place. Stickers of hundreds of NASA flights share the space with traditional Americana, making apparent the history of this 24-hr eatery. Jet-jockey space trash and astronaut memorabilia is everywhere. The image of a little shack on the Moon hosting space cowboys, rednecks, truckers, weirdoes, and mostly normal people, gives a surreal, almost a down-home "Star Wars" quality to the early morning ambience. Spaced out.

Have you tried our SMOKED MULLET DIP?
It's one of the many free recipes on our "RECIPES" Enhanced CD. You can order one now at SAUCEBOSS.COM
It's great for parties and if you don't have smoked mullet, any other smoked fish will work.
2 cups flaked smoked mullet (be sure to get all the bones out)
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 medium onion, chopped finely
J uice from one lemon
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 Tablespoons LIQUID SUMMER HOT SAUCE
Mix ingredients together and form a ball. Sprinkle with paprika or chives and garnish with parsley. Chill and serve with crackers.

See ya'll in Y2K. I hope yer all stocked up on Liquid Summer. Remember, it's great on squirrel.
