SHINGLE’S CHICKEN SHACK
905 Miles Ave. 850-681-2626
If you’re in Tallahassee, Florida, and have never been to Shingle’s, you owe it to yourself to drop on in.  A totally cool, chill, laid back experience awaits you along with the best fried chicken and fish on earth.  The chicken livers are equal to any Foie Gras I’ve had anywhere.  And y’all, I’ve had it ALL.

LINCOLN HEIGHTS BISTRO
603 Elm St, Safety Harbor FL 34695
727-726-4210   lhbistro@aol.com
Wednesday - Saturday 11A.M. to 3 P.M. and 5 P.M to 9 P.M.
How does an Italian, city girl from New York end up chefing for a southern style country restaurant in Safety Harbor?  “I saw a need and the rest is history” says Dawn Algeri, owner/chef of the Lincoln Heights Bistro.  After moving into a defunct Jamaican pool hall three years ago,  Dawn and husband, George Zickl, have been blowing the people’s minds in the Clearwater area.  George is also a great photographer.  (See georgelzickl.com
Two words say it all- COLLARD GREENS!  And every thing is cooked with joie de vivre, y’all.  I had a bite of Majic John’s smothered pork chop.  How can a pork chop be so sublime?  Meatloaf, candied sweet potatoes with maple brown sugar glaze, creamy grits dressed with shrimp and andouille sausage, squash casserole, the berry cobbler reminds me of my Mamma’s Blackberry Surprise.  DROOL!   Everything is homemade.  Everything is delish.  Check out the Veggie Plate.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Before the next Gazette is published, we will be moving our mailing list from Microsoft's BCentral to another service, because BCentral's mailing service is being discontinued.. Hopefully that move will be seamless. But if you get an inquiry asking if you want to continue on the list or welcoming you, please acknowledge.
