Come to Sunny Florida
With temperatures reaching into the 80’s, you can sure nuff get a tan—there’s some braggin’ rights. We like it here year round, but spending January in Florida reminds us why we live here. We look forward to our first appearance at the Kravis Performing Arts Center in West Palm Beach on Friday and Saturday, January 6 & 7, then on to Margaritaville in key west and the House of Blues Café at Disney World in Orlando. If you can join us this month, we’d love to see you. Check out our concert schedule at http://sauceboss.com/concert.htm.

HERE'S A PERFECT FLORIDA TREAT

Shrimp cocktail with Liquid Summer Cocktail Sauce.  Hooooooeeee!
Squirt some catsup in a bowl and add:
Juice of one lime
One Tbs of horseradish
A very large splooge of Liquid Summer
The trick is to not overcook the shrimp.  It only takes a few minutes.

4th Annual Planet Gumbo Benefit Concert with the Sauce Boss
on Saturday February 18 th at the Lake Ella American Legion Hall in Tallahassee, FL. Best dance floor in town. Great hors d’oeuvres (including the famous Hot Q Wings) done up by Planet Gumbo board member and chef extraordinaire Jancie TerLouw, and silent auction with donated by generous supporters.

To find out more details about Planet Gumbo and also about the benefit, visit http://planetgumbo.org. If you would like to donate items or services to our auction or if you would like to become a sponsor for the event please email info@planetgumbo.org or give us a call at 850-425-2805. And if you would like to volunteer to help us at this event or at any of our shelter shows in Tallahassee or in your home town, let us know

And thanks so much to all the folks at our gigs this past year who have so generously donated to Planet Gumbo. You guys are great—you threw a total of $11935.31 into the gumbo pot in 2005. During the month of September alone, you donated $2182.61, and Planet Gumbo contributed every penny of that to the Hurricane Katrina fund of the New Orleans Musicians Clinic, which has been helping these musicians, who lost everything, get back on their feet in a very grassroots way. This fall Planet Gumbo also offered a very popular, hands-on Nutrition Outreach program to a group of teens at our local Boys & Girls Club. With your help, we fed over 150 hearty meals every month to men, women, and children at The Shelter in Tallahassee, as well as entertained and fed folks at Sauce Boss shows at homeless shelters all over the US.
A good year on Planet Gumbo.

Keep cookin’,
Sauce Boss
