GOOD NEWS FOR THE SAUCE
BOSS
We have the good fortune to finally, after all these
years, get some serious help in our business. Now Propper
Entertainment represents the Sauce Boss. All you surfers
out there will recognize the name, Gary Propper, the
surfing champion who dominated the east coast scene
in the late 60s. Well, Gary, who also is a mega entertainment
dude, is joining forces with the Food Dude to cook some
gumbo on a grand scale.
Gary Propper's first big lick in the industry was when
he took a little known comedian and turned him into
an international sensation named "Gallager".
Then he bought the rights to a little known comic book
and proceeded to kick butt with the movie, "Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles". That's surf lingo that those
turtles speak, Man! So now Propper Entertainment has
two clients-- Carrot Top and The Sauce Boss. Needless
to say we are really excited.

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH
SAUCE BOSS PUTS ROAD KILL IN THE GUMBO
Well, not literally, but May 13th (7-9PM) is the opening
of Bill Wharton's first show of his photography. After
twenty years of touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe,
The Sauce Boss, has taken time to examine the intricacies
of many elements of life on the road. Discovering beauty
in the otherwise morbid, Wharton's series of photographs
entitled "Road kills", documents life and
death on the open highway. Juxtaposing lush, vibrant
colors and forms with the reality of fatality, the photographs
find a certain peace in the brutal end of animal life,
whose habitat Man has invaded. Included are photos of
offal (animal parts thrown out on the roadside by hunters)
- a gorgeous tragedy. Also shown are photographs of
a skeletal Blue Jay found in a warehouse parking lot.
In the coexistence of Humans and the animals of the
world, the animals, as always, get the short end of
the stick, bringing in question the etymology of the
word, "humane". This never-shown series of
work opens in May (May 13th through July 1st) at the
621 Gallery in Railroad Square Tallahassee, Florida
(850-224-6163), as part of a three-person exhibition
in the main gallery. "Life is death, and death
is life in the world of rpm's."
