COME AND GET IT!
It's here. It will be released in about three weeks…but we just happen to have a few advance copies of the new Sauce boss CD for sale right now.
So you can be the first one on your block to have one. This one is undoubtedly the hottest yet. "Come and Get It" is a gumbo of rootsy styles celebrating the diversity of what has become Americana. The Sauce Boss stirs the Blues with a little twang of country, add a pinch of Latin and World Beat rhythms and a splash of rap, cook it all together with a treatment of fine tunesmanship and a have a unique and flavorful platter. The instrumental version of "Four-letter Word" is beautiful. The world beat of "The Gumbo Song" is an anthem to the cultures of the world community. "Down in the Valley" is an Americana as it gets. The Parrotheads, who have flocked to the Sauce Boss shows since Jimmy Buffett wrote "I Will Play for Gumbo" about him, will love "Locals", "Sun", and "Four-letter Word". And there's always the Blues on a Sauce Boss CD-"Going Back to Florida", "Little Miss Heartbreak", and "I Broke My Heart"-all feature the Sauce Boss' signature slide guitar

IN SUPPORT OF THE NEW CD, HERE WE COME!

SAUCE BOSS IS A THESPIAN!
That's right! The Sauce Boss has been reportedly been spotted at a number of performing arts establishments as of late. Paparazzi has photographed The Sauce Boss in the company of known thespians. When asked about this, the slide guitarist/chef only replied, "Some of my best friends are thespians." Here is a photo of the Sauce Boss hanging out at Thalian Hall in Wilmington, N.C.

JUBILEE KITCHEN WELCOMES THE SAUCE BOSS
One of the oldest soup kitchens in Pittsburgh opened its doors to the Sauce Boss. Last month. Majic John and Big Jim spooned out generous bowls of gumbo for the clients of the Jubilee Kitchen. Also the Planet Gumbo Board of Directors and volunteers are cooking once a month at The Shelter in Tallahassee, FL. And I'm not talking about opening a can of green beans either. Nooooo! We are bringing some of the best cooks in the area to join in on this aspect of our Planet Gumbo Program. There are some great things on the Planet Gumbo horizon. Now that we have our 501-c3 status we will soon be applying for grants to bring healthy nourishment to those in need. Body and soul. Come join us!

La Wan's positioning statement on the poster is, "EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!"
The closely guarded family recipes include the classic soul food dishes, but you can also order your fish broiled. The vegetable plate is my fave- three veggies- your choice for 4.95! You go Girl!
