Sauce Boss
Gazette
Volume 10 Number 2 * Early March 2002
eeeeow! I never thought you could spend two whole weeks touring South Florida, but I was wrong. After a rockin' week at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Key West, we headed way up north to Miami, playing our old haunt Tobacco Road, and filming the whole Sauce Boss Gumbo show for an appearance on "Keith Famie's Adventures" , (scheduled to air Monday night, June 17, 10:30 pm on the Food Network). Praise be to e-mail. How else could we fill up Tobacco Road on a Wednesday with only three days notice. And a great crowd it was! Thanks to all our die-hard friends. Y'all looked great! Then festival dates in West Palm Beach, Hollywood, Jax, Orlando--It's a real good kind of tired. WHAT'S UP NEXT? Shows this week in Naples and Sarasota. Next week we're back home for a Saturday night (3/9) show at Sloppy Joe's in Tallahassee

GUPPY'S ON THE BEACH, SEAFOOD GRILL AND BAR
1701 GULF BLVD. INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, FL 33785. 727-593-2032
Go early. There's a great little park right across the street where you can watch the sun go down and (in the winter) still be early enough to avoid the hour long wait. This is gourmet food and service at less than gourmet price. With 10 to 18 dollar range for entrees (includes caesar salads), you can get out without re-mortgaging the house. The fresh seafood is fabulous at this family place. Raw clams and oysters. Shrimp gazpacho. Grilled salmon, tuna, grouper, amberjack--all with rockin' sauces. Slightly chic, but casual, this place is tolerable for a down home guy like me. DON'T LOOK AT THE DESSERTS! DON'T LOOK AT THE DESSERTS. They got a hold of me. The key lime pie's almost as good as my mama's. |
